Terms of Service
August 31, 2026
These Terms set out the conditions for using Diet Log (the “App”). Please read them before using the App.
1. About the App
The App is a journal for writing down weight, how you feel and symptoms every day, and reading them back later.
2. It makes no medical decisions
The App is not a medical device and not a diagnostic tool. It does not tell you what dose to take or how to take anything, and it does not promise weight loss. Always consult a doctor or pharmacist about medication.
3. Eligibility
The App is intended for users aged 13 and over.
4. Your data
The App keeps your data on your device. Backup and migration are your responsibility. If data is lost through device failure, loss, replacement, or deletion of the App, we cannot restore it.
5. Pricing, renewal, and cancellation
- Writing entries and viewing the last 7 days work without paying. Older entries stay on your device and become visible with Pro.
- Monthly plan: ¥490/month in Japan. A 3-day free trial is configured for the first subscription (whether it applies is decided by Apple).
- Yearly plan: ¥5,000/year in Japan. It has no free trial.
- There is no one-time “pay once, keep forever” purchase.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID. It renews automatically for the same period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends.
- Cancel from Settings on your iPhone → your name → Subscriptions. Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription.
- Prices vary by country and over time. The amount shown in the App Store before you buy is the price that applies.
- Refunds follow Apple’s policy. We cannot process refunds ourselves.
6. Usage records are sent
The App sends usage records to our server at launch. The fields and the destination are described in the Privacy Policy. The current version has no setting to stop this. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
7. Prohibited conduct
Reverse engineering, modifying, or redistributing the App, impersonating others, and using the App for unlawful purposes are prohibited.
8. Limitation of liability
Except in cases of intent or gross negligence on our part, we are not liable for damages arising from use of the App. What the App shows is a record, not advice. Decisions about your health should be made with a doctor where needed.
9. Changes to these Terms
We may revise these Terms when needed. Material changes will be posted on this page. Continuing to use the App after a change means you accept the revised Terms.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by Japanese law. The Tokyo District Court has exclusive jurisdiction as the court of first instance for disputes relating to the App.
